Not so with even many smart businesses in South Africa! Rest assured though that CMW has taken the technological leap into what web-based technology offers and is matching the best!

The benefits of web-based communication and e-commerce technology (e.g. On-Line Auctions, interactive client services) which CMW’s clients (producers, buyers and sellers) have enjoyed for some time now, are being extended to our Fibre Handling Division. CMW has had its in-house computer system totally revamped to provide for the demands of the latest communication technology.

One simple example resulting from this development is the SMS notification when producers’ wool/mohair is weighed in. The moment a clip passes the weigh-in scale, an SMS and e-mail notification containing all the relevant data is  automatically computer-generated.  Also, for the first time, wool buyers/processors from all over the globe can ACCESS stock at CMW directly, and exercise whatever logistical instruction is required ………from any PC or laptop wherever internet connection is available. In similar fashion whatever is available on CMW’s OFFERBOARD SYSTEM may be bought … in REAL TIME and from ANYWHERE.

The potential of this development is HUGE and the advantages are too legion to mention here.
